We obviously love our caffeine, as we’re sure you do, too. But too much of the stuff can lead to feeling jittery, nauseated, anxious, and have other negative health effects.
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recommends that people consume no more than 400 mg of caffeine per day. People who are pregnant are advised to have no more than 200 mg per day.
To help you manage your own caffeine intake, we developed this calculator based on caffeine concentration findings by the University of Newcastle. Caffeine extraction varies by type of coffee, brew time, water temperature, and other variables. This calculator is meant to be used as an informational guide only, and not as a medical tool.
